Description & Overview

What if the God before whom you learned to justify yourself is not the Father revealed by Jesus, but the inspector your guilty conscience put in His place?

The Eternal Gospel begins where much of religious discourse tends to stop. If Grace is truly free, why do so many Christians keep living like debtors? They say they have been saved, yet monitor every thought as if the sentence were still being written. They call God Father, yet approach Him as servants. They confess that Christ finished the work and still spend their lives trying to add something to the blood.

Beginning in Eden, Huion Arrhena traces the birth of this contradiction. The Tree of Knowledge illuminates the forbidden; the No/the Law organizes desire around what it condemns; the Fig Leaves become morality, reputation, and high spiritual performance. Then emerges the Performative Adam: the man who can no longer simply exist and must perform an acceptable version of himself before a gaze he imagines is always judging him.

In dialogue with Paul of Tarsus, Philosophy, and Psychoanalysis, the book moves through Law, guilt, desire, the cross, time, and sonship to sustain a radical claim: the Gospel was not born as an emergency response to human failure. The Lamb was slain before the foundation of the world. Creation did not come first only to be saved later; it was able to exist because it was already sustained by the self-giving of the Son.

That is the Architecture of Grace.

If the cross precedes the fall, salvation cannot continue to function as a verdict suspended over the future. Obedience ceases to be payment, sanctification ceases to be the manufacture of an acceptable subject, and sin loses the authority to undo sonship. Christ did not offer the defendant a better defense. He closed the courtroom.

This book does not make evil irrelevant or turn freedom into license. It does something more devastating: it strips guilt of the right to rule, the Law of the power to produce identity, and religion of the ability to bargain over what God decided to give freely. When the debt ends, the leaves fall. The character no longer needs to be perfected. Man can come out of hiding and stand naked before God.

No one is good enough not to need Grace. And no one is bad enough to defeat it.
