A wrong turn. A roadside diner. And a meal served forty years too early.

On an ordinary drive to visit family, a mother and her teenage daughter stop at a weathered little diner after following a faded sign promising simply: FOOD.

At first, nothing seems particularly unusual. The waitress is friendly, the burgers are greasy, and the jukebox is hopelessly out of date.

Then they look out the window.

Their 1995 Buick is still sitting in the parking lot—but it isn't a 1995 anymore.

What begins as an impossible glimpse into another time becomes stranger when curiosity draws them back to the diner. Because the past isn't the only place this mysterious roadside stop can take them.

And some exits take you farther than others.

The Timeline Diner is a nostalgic, eerie short story about an ordinary road trip that takes one very unexpected detour.
