Some people disappear from history.

But what happens when someone appears who was never supposed to exist?

Eleanor Craig is a hospital archivist who knows every record, every forgotten file, and every hidden corner of St. Jude Medical Center. Her job is to preserve the past—not question it.

Until she sees the same elderly man appear in places where no one could have entered.

Always carrying an old leather clipboard.
Always wearing the same outdated suit.
Always vanishing before anyone else can see him.

At first, Eleanor believes there must be a rational explanation. A mistake. A forgotten employee. A trick of memory.

But when she discovers that the hospital was once a nineteenth-century orphanage with a dark history, she finds a photograph of the orphanage founder—a man who looks exactly like the stranger haunting the corridors.

The impossible becomes even stranger when Eleanor uncovers reports from another hospital describing the same mysterious figure. Different location. Same man. Same clipboard. Same warnings.

As reality begins to fracture, Eleanor must uncover the truth behind a presence that exists between time and memory.

Because the man is not searching for the past.

He is recording the future.

And the next name in his archive may be hers.
