He came to Egypt to be alone. She wasn't supposed to change that.

After months of running on empty, he books a solo trip to the Red Sea, determined to disappear into his own silence for a while. Then he sees her, one face in a group of seven laughing Italian tourists, and something in him that had gone quiet for a long time starts paying attention again.

What starts as one impulsive conversation by the pool turns into three unforgettable days: mornings at the breakfast buffet, afternoons in warm water, nights that neither of them wants to end. But her flight home is already booked, and some connections aren't built to survive a departure gate.

Salt and Borrowed Time is a slow-burn contemporary romance about the strangers who reshape us without staying, and the kind of solitude that only becomes real once someone briefly interrupts it. Perfect for readers who love vacation romance, bittersweet endings, and love stories that don't need forever to matter.
