Jacko and Jumpo Kinkytail are two mischievous monkey brothers whose bright red and green fur, treetop home, and endless curiosity launch them into a month of playful bedtime adventures. In a warm, whimsical forest world filled with animal children, an owl teacher, Uncle Wiggily, and other familiar friends, the Kinkytails tumble from schoolroom pranks into comic household chaos, with every mishap carrying a small lesson in kindness, obedience, and quick thinking. Their antics include tail-drawn pictures in class, runaway cocoanuts, absurd pudding-making, and errands for jam tarts and butter that turn into escapes from wolves, snakes, and other woodland dangers. Yet Jacko and Jumpo are more than troublemakers: they help one another when sick, rescue each other from danger, and even save the day with clever tricks, from hot peanuts to slippery butter and chestnut burrs. Lighthearted, suspenseful, and full of animal comedy, the book celebrates brotherly teamwork, resourcefulness, and the charm of small adventures.
