James has spent twenty years grieving the wife he lost too soon. One day a strange, impatient young woman shows up at his door on his birthday, claiming they have a date.

What starts as an odd, possibly scam encounter at a Bedok supermarket turns into a day James can't explain: familiar gestures, old jokes only one person ever made. By the time dinner is on the table, James knows exactly who's really sitting across from him, and that whatever this is, it isn't going to last.
