It is almost 7 in the morning, and you have already answered 3 requests before the coffee has finished brewing. Someone is calling your name from the other room, someone else is holding a toy that needs a battery you cannot find, and the Bible on the shelf carries a small weight you would rather not feel. You promised yourself a quiet time this week, and this is the 3rd morning that promise has gone unmet. This book was written for the morning when the kids are already awake, the quiet time has already failed, and the day has barely begun, because that is where most real prayer lives.
This is not another devotional that demands 30 silent minutes you do not have, and it is not a guilt trip about your prayer life. It is not a promise that your schedule will open up. What you actually need is a way to meet God inside your real day, and the pages that follow are that way: 31 short, honest daily entries, each one a reading plan with Scripture, a guided prayer, and a reflection prompt that fits between the carpool and the laundry.
Inside, you'll discover:
• The morning anchor, a 3-minute rhythm that actually holds
• The exhale prayer for the moment the house is chaos
• A liturgy for the to-do list that never gets shorter
• Prayers for the days you feel like you are failing
• How to intercede for your children without guilt
• Praying Scripture back to God when words run out
• Praying with your children, even the chaotic ones
• Grace for the missed days and tools that keep you going
God does not measure your devotion in minutes, and He has not been waiting at a distance for you to earn your way back. He has been in the 3 requests before the coffee and in the hands that hold the chaos, and this book is an invitation to notice. You do not need a perfect quiet time, because the God of the busy mom meets her right where she is. Start today, 5 minutes at a time, and let the prayer that outlasts the plan begin.
