When a voice from an unlisted number tells him the memories he
testified to were assigned — not lived — Daniel is pulled back
into a world he thought he had escaped. This time, he is not
the only witness. Someone else remembers the same night,
differently. She calls herself M—, and she knows things about
Daniel's testimony that no one outside the Program should know.

As Daniel and M— compare what they each remember, the line
between corroboration and manufactured consensus starts to
