Maya Reed has one simple goal: prove she’s the most normal person in Ward Nine. Then she meets Leo Bennett.
Leo has an unofficial rulebook, backup snack maps, a suspicious relationship with clipboards, and a loophole for nearly everything.
When a routine assessment turns into a ridiculous competition over which of them can convince the staff they’re more stable, responsible, and completely normal, Ward Nine becomes their battleground.
There are chair wars. Missing lunch trays. Campaign promises. Compliance inspections. Snack politics. Apology contests. And one increasingly judgmental crowned duck.
Maya plans everything. Leo improvises everything. Neither of them knows when to quit.
But the harder they try to beat each other, the more often they find themselves cleaning up the same disasters — together.
For the Record, We’re Normal is an absurd buddy comedy about rivalry, bureaucracy, unlikely friendship, and what happens when two people try far too hard to prove they have everything under control.
For the record, they’re doing perfectly fine. According to them.
