When the foehn wind blows, accidents on Lake Constance rise — everyone here knows that. When three people die in a single foehn night, it all looks like tragic statistics at first. Until Commissioner Ida Ruf notices that all three had the same lawyer. Her investigation leads into the carefully hidden system of an association for self-determined dying — and into a conflict with her own office that costs her her badge. Ida keeps investigating, unofficially, against orders, and uncovers a network in which genuine care and cold calculation are inextricably interwoven. Book 3 of the Lake Constance series.
