Emily has one plan: sell the bookstore she never asked for and get out of town before she becomes attached to anything.
Then the shelves start collapsing.
The resident cat decides she belongs there.
And Charlotte Hayes walks in with coffee, confidence, and the dangerous habit of saying, “Trust me.”
Suddenly, Emily’s temporary problem becomes a full-blown community project. There are fundraisers to survive, book clubs to organize, customers who want advice, secrets hidden in old ledgers, and a town that seems determined to make the bookstore feel like home.
Worst of all, Charlotte keeps getting closer.
What begins as irritation turns into flirting. Flirting turns into jealousy. And somewhere between chaotic events, late-night inventory sessions, stolen pages, and one very opinionated cat, Emily starts wondering whether leaving is really what she wants anymore.
Because selling the bookstore would be easy.
Walking away from Charlotte might not be.
I Opened A Lesbian Bookstore By Accident is a warm, funny sapphic romantic comedy filled with bookstore chaos, slow-burn chemistry, found family, small-town charm, cozy vibes, an unforgettable cat, and two women discovering that sometimes the life you never planned is exactly where you belong.
