Urban Fantasy – Humorous Fantasy – Workplace Comedy

Arthur Howard has dealt with demon bile, dragon waste, and biohazardous ectoplasm before.

What he has never dealt with is an ancient artifact that wants to destroy the world.

Arthur is a municipal sanitation specialist. He likes clean floors, properly labeled chemicals, and workplace safety regulations. So when the legendary Heart of Gloom accidentally fuses with his body, he reacts to the apocalypse the only sensible way he knows how:

He puts it to work.

The ancient power of darkness turns out to be remarkably effective at removing supernatural stains, neutralizing monster residue, and restoring surfaces that should be permanently ruined. Unfortunately, absorbing a Class IV eldritch artifact has attracted the attention of Rebecca Hawkins, an elite monster hunter who has orders to contain the relic—and eliminate its host if necessary.

Instead, Rebecca finds herself wearing a high-visibility safety vest and helping Arthur mop up the aftermath of another superhero's latest disaster.

But the city's monster attacks are becoming increasingly strange. The creatures leave behind synthetic biological residue, corporate signatures, and evidence of something far more deliberate than random supernatural chaos.

Someone is manufacturing monsters.

Someone is making millions from the destruction they cause.

And Arthur's cleaning supplies may be the one thing capable of exposing them.

Armed with a mop, a cosmic artifact, and an increasingly exasperated monster hunter at his side, Arthur is about to discover that saving the city doesn't require a cape.

Sometimes, it requires proper sanitation.

Mop and Gloom is a hilarious urban fantasy novel blending supernatural comedy, workplace humor, monster hunting, action adventure, dark magic, and slow-burn romance.
