A dead woman's bouquet arrives at a flower shop. Then the flowers begin to reveal a town's darkest secret.

Mara Vale has no intention of staying in Black Orchid.

After her aunt June's sudden death, Mara inherits the struggling flower shop she left behind—and a town full of people who remember June far better than Mara ever did.

Then a fresh bouquet arrives at the shop.

The card is addressed to Elise Hart, a woman who vanished ten years ago.

Inside June's hidden ledger, Mara finds Elise's name beside a strange floral symbol. Other names follow—people who disappeared, died unexpectedly, or were never believed. When a second bouquet appears linked to a recent death, Mara realizes the shop may have been part of a secret message network.

Detective Elias Rook tells her to stay away from the case. But someone has already entered Black Orchid, torn a page from June's ledger, and left a black orchid outside Mara's door.

Now Mara must decode the flowers before the person behind them silences her, too.

The Black Orchid Files is an atmospheric cozy paranormal mystery featuring a reluctant florist sleuth, a skeptical detective, a secretive small town, hidden family scandals, and clues that may come from somewhere beyond the grave.
