Contra-Crime Connections

Inspector Tim Murphy, outgoing RCMP Westshore Commander, is promoted to Superintendent and seconded to E Division Headquarters in Surrey as the BC Regional Representative to the newly created National Contra-Crime Agency. He is assigned the task of coordinating weekly meetings between various police and near-police agencies in the province. The intent is to indicate to U.S. authorities that Canada is serious about ensuring fentanyl from Canada is not causing drug overdoses and the deaths of American users.

Before completing his posting at Westshore two deaths occur in Greater Victoria and Murphy discovers the victims were intentionally poisoned by an extremely powerful drug called nitazine. Shortly after commencing his new posting, Tim is faced with a third similar poisoning in Surrey. In his new role as Regional Contra-Crime Director he gradually uncovers the intricate criminal linkages investigated by the various anticrime committees he coordinates, allowing him to discover who is behind the murders.
