Becky Ellison went to sleep on Sunday night. She woke up Tuesday morning.

Monday was gone.

She remembers none of it.

But her phone says she made calls. Her bank account shows purchases. Her coworkers remember meetings. Someone sent emails in her voice, used her debit card, ate at restaurants she has never visited, and moved through the world wearing her face.

At first, Becky searches for a medical explanation.

Then she discovers something worse.

This has happened before.

The missing days stretch back weeks, appearing every few days with disturbing regularity. And during those gaps, another version of Becky has been building a life inside hers.

She drinks better coffee.

She dresses better.

She makes friends.

She dates.

She excels at Becky's job.

And people notice.

The woman occupying Becky's missing days is not chaotic or destructive. She is confident, social, deliberate, and frighteningly competent.

She may even be better at being Becky than Becky is.

As the gaps multiply, Becky begins documenting everything: receipts, calls, messages, surveillance footage, medical tests, conversations, and the growing network of people who believe they already know her.

But the deeper Becky investigates, the more dangerous the question becomes.

What if this other woman isn't borrowing Becky's life?

What if she's replacing her?

And what happens when there are more borrowed days than Becky's own?

The Borrowed Days is a psychological thriller about memory, identity, control, and the terrifying possibility that the person stealing your life might be the person everyone wishes you had become.

For readers who enjoy psychological suspense, identity mysteries, uncanny thrillers, speculative fiction, and stories where reality becomes increasingly difficult to trust.

She is losing days. Someone else is using them. And the other Becky is planning to stay.

The opening establishes the core nightmare immediately: Becky has no memory of Monday, yet her phone, purchases, work activity, and other evidence show that someone moved through the missing day as her.
