Blackthorn Rise

Eleven years ago, Elara Voss was sent away from Blackthorn Rise without explanation, leaving behind the only home she had known—and Ronan Thorne, the boy who had been her closest companion.

Now Silas Crowe is dead, and an old solicitor's letter forces Elara to return to the remote estate on the windswept moors.

Blackthorn Rise is no longer the place she remembers. The house is darker, the land is struggling, and Ronan has grown into a guarded, scarred man who has learned to survive without expecting kindness from anyone. Yet the moment Elara sees him again, she discovers that the years have done little to erase what existed between them.

Silas's will binds their futures together in an unusual arrangement. Ronan inherits Blackthorn Rise, while Elara receives a right to remain and a measure of influence over the estate. Then a locked writing case reveals letters and secrets that change everything they believed about their separation, Ronan's origins, and the history of the Crowe family.

But the past is only the beginning.

Across the valley, Fairhaven's Marcus Langley sees an opportunity to challenge Ronan's position and use questions about his birth, the inheritance, and Elara herself to undermine Blackthorn. Rumours spread. Pressure mounts. Even the safety of the estate begins to feel uncertain.

As Ronan and Elara are forced closer together, the old silence between them becomes impossible to maintain. Their love is passionate, complicated, and shaped by eleven lost years—but so are the forces determined to keep them apart.

To save Blackthorn Rise, they must confront buried bloodlines, family betrayal, social prejudice, and the ghosts of decisions made long before they were old enough to understand them.

Set against lonely moors, a weather-beaten ancestral house, and a world ruled by inheritance and reputation, Blackthorn Rise is a gothic romance about lost years, forbidden desire, family secrets, resilience, and two people who finally choose each other despite everything the past has taken from them.

Some storms cannot be outrun.

They can only be weathered together.
