They called it a distress signal. That was the first mistake.

Nyra Quell and the crew of a salvage cutter cross Thaymn Dune looking for wreckage. What they find is the Vulture King — a pre-collapse siege cruiser that shouldn't still be transmitting, and a relic inside it that doesn't ask what you want. It asks what you're willing to cut away to get it.

The Blade — the Severant — offers the one thing war never gives for free: a clean victory. Perfect sequencing. No wasted shots, no wasted lives, no hesitation. All Nyra has to do is stop asking what the arithmetic costs.

The Blade of Collapse is Arc 1 of the Relics of the Void Saga, a science fiction space opera with horror at its core. This is a war story about the difference between winning and surviving — and about a soldier who has to relearn how to bleed for something instead of calculating around it.

Discipline over rage. Survival versus perfection. This is what an impossible victory actually costs.

The saga continues in Arc 2: The Crown of the Hollow Kings, where a different relic offers a different kind of mercy — and asks a different kind of price.
