THE BLACK MAGICIAN V

THE VEIL OF THE DEAD

Lucifera has escaped Hell.

For the first time in her fourteen years of existence, the daughter of Lucifer is experiencing something she has never known before: Earth.

Humans fascinate her.

Their music. Their food. Their strange customs. Their emotions.

And then there is John.

Thirty years old, tall, strong, blue-eyed, a freelance game developer and the creator of the unexpectedly successful Zombies vs Vampyres, John is about as far from Hell as a human can possibly be.

Unfortunately for him, Lucifera has decided that he is her favourite pet.

What John doesn't know is that his new girlfriend is the daughter of the Lord of Hell.

And Lucifera is about to discover something far more dangerous than demons.

She is about to discover love.

Meanwhile, deep beneath the realms of existence, Lucifer has realised that his daughter is missing. Unable to leave Hell, he turns to Morrigan, the ancient Witch of Witches, and together they begin watching Lucifera's adventures on Earth through a mysterious crimson crystal ball—commenting on her life almost as if they were watching their favourite television series.

But Lucifer soon discovers something horrifying.

Lucifera may not have been his only lost child.

Anubis knows the truth.

He knows what happened behind the First Door.

He knows how two souls returned from the Void.

And he knows why Heaven must never discover what has happened.

Unfortunately for him, Lucifera has discovered his secret—and she is perfectly willing to blackmail the Guardian of the Dead.

Then the First Door begins to open.

Heaven takes notice.

The Void awakens.

And a forgotten daughter returns.
