The Zombie Bride of the Dark City follows Mirelle Ashbourne, a young woman who awakens inside a coffin after being dead and buried for more than a century. With only fragments of memory remaining, she discovers that she was once the bride of Roderick Vane, the immortal ruler of Nocturne City.

As Mirelle searches for answers about her death, she discovers that her fate was connected to Theodora Boneveil, Roderick's former queen. Driven by jealousy, Theodora murdered Mirelle on her wedding night using a supernatural relic capable of separating a soul from its body.

But Mirelle's return is far more than a resurrection. She possesses mysterious death magic that allows her to command the dead. Her awakening causes the undead of Nocturne City to rise, while an ancient power known as the Bride's Crown begins to awaken within her.

When Mirelle finally encounters Roderick, the memories and emotions of their interrupted wedding begin to return. However, Theodora reappears and reveals the truth about Mirelle's murder. Mirelle must confront her past, uncover the true nature of her powers, and decide what it means to become the Bride of the Dark City.
