Every animal we love changes us.
Every goodbye does too.
In The Human-Animal Bond, Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) and veteran educator (M.Ed.) Rosalba Politi invites readers into the learning spaces that shape both caregivers and clients. Through vivid stories from practice and decades of teaching, she shows how animals become our most consistent teachers in empathy, resilience, cultural understanding, and ethical reflection.
She explores how relationships with animals influence families, communities, and professional identity. With clarity, compassion, and a commitment to accessible learning, she guides readers through an emotional landscape that stretches from the joy of first connections to the gravity of end‑of‑life care.
