Only women give birth. Period!

By the year 2084, this age-old certainty seems to have gone off the rails. The total emancipation of women is within reach. Jana, a burnt-out archaeology student, seizes on the hedonistic spirit of the age to pursue her bizarre ideas. A pinch of salt — a metaphor for her hunger for success — brings her unexpected fame and fortune. Obsessed with total emancipation and driven by a keen business instinct, she ventures down some highly unconventional paths. The Ex Utero movement she founds overturns traditional gender roles. In the end, even men give birth to children. But the enthusiasm of this fun society has its limits — not least because of the cunning Woodies, a rebellious tribe hidden deep in the Woodlands.
