Set in the lavish resort dome of Olympus Heights on Mars, 2 Idiots chronicles the catastrophic power struggle between two autocratic figures: Mr. Bumb, a vanity-driven real estate mogul obsessed with energy credits, and Leader Joglu, a calculating military dictator from the Southern Crater. Allied purely by transactional greed, the duo signs a joint treaty placing all Martian commercial canyons, fuel reserves, and strategic power grids under their absolute control.

Their ruthless blockade of the crucial Tharsis Energy Canyon paralyzes the planetary economy, causing hyperinflation, resource shortages, and severe hardship for ordinary citizens, as exemplified by the daily struggles of Fatema Begum's working-class family in Avalon Dome Nine.

As economic chaos deepens, an unmuted microphone accidentally captures the two leaders hurling insults at each other, exposing their alliance as a fraud and earning them the global moniker "Two Idiots." The viral leak triggers massive popular uprisings and a military revolt.

Joglu is overthrown by his own soldiers and imprisoned, while Bumb is impeached and suffers cognitive decline under house arrest. Following their downfall, free elections and democratic reforms restore stability to Mars, transforming former sites of private luxury into public scientific institutions and leaving behind an enduring warning against political arrogance.
