As Close as the Moon, by Patrick McGrail, is a touching and heartwarming tale of a young boy who must bid his father goodbye as he prepares to leave for deployment to Iraq.

Young Hollis and his father have a special connection. Challenged by distance and fear of the unknown, they call upon the moon as their secret source of communication.

A story of sacrifice, hopes, and dreams, you're bound to see the next full moon in a whole new light. And, if you listen carefully, you might just hear a message from someone far, far away.

A touching, inspiring story that testifies to the heartache experienced by families involved in so many different situations and to the strong bonds that connect them, no matter where they are.
