Ten years ago, Marie Ayala fled Halloway Conservatory with a broken career and a shattered heart.

Now she’s back—as faculty.
The elite music school hasn’t changed. The stone walls still demand perfection. The winter still bites. And Dean Naomi Hernandez still rules the place with a bow as sharp as a blade.

Naomi is the Ice Queen of the conservatory: brilliant, relentless, and utterly untouchable. She teaches control. Discipline. Silence. Marie teaches the opposite—emotion, risk, the dangerous freedom of feeling every note. Their teaching philosophies collide in front of the students. Their history collides in private.

What begins as professional rivalry becomes something far more dangerous. Late-night practice rooms. Shared music that says what neither woman will. A forbidden attraction neither can afford to name.
At Halloway, careers are destroyed with a single raised eyebrow. Scandal is career-ending. And the past refuses to stay buried.

As the pressure mounts and old wounds reopen, Marie and Naomi must confront the truth they have spent a decade denying: some lessons cannot be taught. They can only be surrendered to.

Intense, atmospheric, and deeply emotional, The Master Class is a second-chance romance about power, perfection, and the music that refuses to stay silent.
