An official day off at an art museum takes a dangerous turn when Pursuant operative Marion Kenway and Zia Kose spot a reality-warping distortion radiating from a fourth-century Egyptian sarcophagus. What begins as a subtle anomaly rapidly escalates into a full-scale breach as active dimensional energy forces a quiet museum evacuation.

Instead of an immediate slaughter, the breach unleashes a legion of jackal-headed Cyno warriors who establish a perimeter to protect their sovereign: Anubis, King of the Meta. Emerging from the artifact, the ancient ruler demands an immediate audience with Pursuant leadership, revealing that the subterranean realm of Agartha is undergoing a cataclysmic shift and that the portals opening across the world are not occurring by chance.

After high-ranking officials yield to the monster's demands behind closed doors, Kenway is left to grapple with the disturbing aftermath. With secrets hidden above his pay grade and the true architect behind the dimensional ruptures still unknown, Kenway must prepare for a coming conflict where the enemy coming through the portal may not be as dangerous as the one opening it.
