With Pen in Hand is more than a collection of poetry or one person's reflections. It is a heartfelt journey through triumphs and setbacks as J. L. looks back on his life and shares how those experiences have shaped him.

Through these pages, he encourages readers to be bold, confident, and forward-looking-embracing each new day with purpose and hope. The book also reflects how God has prepared and guided him to write, using his story to uplift and inspire others.

Along the way, readers may find moments of joy, gentle humor, and even a few laughs as they journey through the pages.

This collection is offered with openness and humility, and may be adapted as needed to ensure it best reflects the intended message and heart of the work.
