This episode tells how, while Yang Zhi is escorting the Birthday Tribute Convoy to the capital, the hero Liu Tang learns of it and goes to East Brook Village to persuade Chao Gai to seize this ill-gotten wealth. Chao Gai joins Wu Yong, Gongsun Sheng, and Bai Sheng, together with the three Ruan brothers, fishermen from Stone Tablet Village. The seven men devise a plan and, at Yellow Earth Mound, use drugged wine to render Yang Zhi and his escort unconscious, then carry off the gold, silver, and precious treasures. The translation of this book series was assisted by various AI tools, but the translator has manually reviewed the content sentence by sentence, with particular care given to correcting potentially confusing expressions.
