Dacker Lloyd has spent forty-three years selling tourists on the legend of the Moon Jackalope: blue and violet rabbits with antlers and a history only he seems to remember. Now his roadside taxidermy shop is being repossessed, and he has one problem bigger than bankruptcy—what to do with a building full of unsold monsters.

When a crater opens beside the neighboring Haverty farm, Dacker sees a solution. He dumps his collection, Robert Haverty fills the hole, and everyone gets on with ordinary life.

Then, during Dee Haverty's Saturday-night quilting party, something begins moving in the fields.

The first guest disappears. The second is found nibbled to death. And soon the Havertys learn that the dumbest creature Dacker ever invented has become very real—and very hungry.

To survive the night, they'll need a shotgun, a barn, one dangerously enthusiastic eight-year-old, an oversized model rocket called The Screaming Chicken, and the one man in Wyoming who has spent years pretending to be a Moon Jackalope expert.

Night Of The Moon Jackalopes is a fast, bloody, funny creature-feature horror story about bad decisions, rural ingenuity, and the danger of giving an old man access to taxidermy and dynamite.
