In the thin, frozen air of a forgotten mountain crossing, a hiker is found dead beneath a ridge locals refuse to name after dark. When investigator Lucian Rook and forensic analyst Elara Quinn are called to the scene, they discover the victim wasn't just passing through — he was chasing a treasure buried by a expedition that vanished decades ago. As they dig into old maps, silenced witnesses, and a town built on a lie, they realize the mountain has been keeping this secret long enough, and someone is willing to kill to keep it that way.
