Someone you love said yes to a call that took them far from you. And while the world celebrates their courage to go, no one has taught you what to do with the grief of staying behind.

For Those Who Send speaks directly to the unnamed sorrow carried by parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends of global workers: the ache of a goodbye you would choose again, an absence that answers prayer even as it breaks your heart. Written by Holly Faye, this collection of liturgies gives voice to what so many senders feel but rarely find words for: the pride tangled with grief, the empty chair at holidays, the anxious wait for a newsletter, the fear that creeps in with breaking news, and the quiet resentment no one tells you is allowed.

Through fifteen chapters of tender, Scripture-rooted prayers, this book walks alongside you from the moment they first said yes, through every goodbye, every missed milestone, every sleepless night of worry, and into a deeper communion with the God who sees every sacrifice made in the quiet.

Imagine finally having words for the ache you've carried alone. Imagine a prayer already waiting for you the next time a video call ends in silence, the next time a newsletter arrives, the next time you catch yourself wishing they'd never gone at all. Imagine being reminded, again and again, that your sending is not a footnote to someone else's obedience. It is sacred work of its own, seen and cherished by the Father.

This is more than a devotional. It is a companion for the road you didn't know you'd be walking, and a reminder that you are not walking it alone.

If you love someone serving far from home, you need words for this journey.
