Vanessa Jackson is very good at behaving herself.

She has a husband she loves, a beautiful villa in the South of France, a calendar full of respectable obligations, and absolutely no reason to become preoccupied with the woman who gives her a Brazilian wax.

Unfortunately, Gail Bennett is difficult to forget.

She is twenty-one, purple-haired, pierced, and far too good at noticing when Vanessa's composure slips. What should be an awkward hour in a treatment room becomes unexpectedly funny. Then interesting.

So Vanessa books again.

And again.

Soon she is paying rather too much attention to what she wears to an appointment. Gail is taking rather too much pleasure in making Mrs. Jackson blush. Their conversations linger. Their silences linger longer.

Outside, Saint-Clair-sur-Mer carries on as usual: café tables in the sun, shutters closing against the heat, wine on the terrace, husbands coming home for dinner.

Inside Grin and Bare It, keeping things professional is becoming a problem.

Vanessa has spent years building a life she has no desire to lose.

Gail was never supposed to make her want another one.

The Brazilian Way: Waxing Intimate is a deliciously improper story about the appointments you make, the excuses you make for making them, and the one person who can make all those excuses sound ridiculous.
