He came back after four months. Just not for her.

When work brings Moshe back to Key West, Piper tells herself one dinner is no big deal.

Then one dinner becomes another day together. Another day becomes an island getaway. And suddenly they're back inside the version of them that always worked: easy conversation, ridiculous breakfasts, great sex, and two almost-perfect days by the ocean.

There's only one question Piper can't stop thinking about.

If work hadn't brought you here, would you have come to see me?

Moshe has never lied to her. He hasn't broken any promises. And Piper still wants him.

But wanting someone and wanting the life they can offer are not always the same thing.

The Weekend Version of Us is a funny, bittersweet story about second chances, beautiful weekends, and realizing that sometimes nothing has to be wrong for something to no longer be enough.
