When seventy‑year‑old Goldie Bernstein shocks Manhattan by announcing her relief at her husband’s funeral, she doesn’t just end a chapter — she detonates her entire past. With her best friend Ruth at her side, Goldie flees Park Avenue for Ocean Pointe, a sun‑soaked Florida enclave where the HOA is ruthless, the gossip is currency, and the golf carts are faster than the local sheriff would prefer.

Trading Chanel for citrus trees and a hot‑pink cart that “hurts your eyes in direct sunlight,” Goldie discovers that freedom comes with its own complications — including a suspicious death, a community full of quirky suspects, and a growing reputation as the neighborhood’s sharp‑tongued sleuth. Armed with her New York instincts, her flair for drama, and a lifetime of observing people who lie for sport, Goldie soon realizes she didn’t just escape her old life… she drove straight into a mystery.

Bold, funny, and delightfully irreverent, The Golf Cart Detective is a sun‑drenched whodunit about reinvention, friendship, and the trouble that follows a woman who finally decides to live loudly.
