Even the smallest light can brighten a big world.
Maya loves the quiet magic of the night. But one evening, her quiet routine turns into a grand adventure when a tiny, golden star named Nola tumbles right into her lavender bushes.
Nola is small, scared of the dark, and terrified to shine in the vast, intimidating night sky. With the Night of Lights just hours away, Nola needs to get back to the Great Constellation.
Hand in hand, Maya and Nola embark on a magical journey through the Whispering Woods, helping lost friends like little Spire the hedgehog, facing their fears, and discovering a wondrous moonlight kite that will carry them to the stars.
Written by Rodney MOUNGUEKA, Maya and the Little Star Who Was Afraid to Shine is a heartwarming, beautifully illustrated bedtime story for children ages 5 to 8. It teaches young readers that being brave doesn't mean you aren't afraid—it means shining anyway, even when the world feels big.
